Months of hard work have finally paid off. Last week, GIFF announced our entire lineup of films and events for the 2017 Festival during the Greenwich Arts Council’s Art to the Avenue on Thursday, May 4th. Less than a month out from the festival, GIFF was proud to announce the 2017 Program in front of a packed crowd at the Tesla Gallery on Greenwich Avenue. This year, inspired by our theme MAKE AN IMPACT, will feature a lineup of 50 films, as well as educational panels and star-studded parties. We believe that our lineup of films this year reflects the image of a true international film festival, featuring films from 18 countries.
We have so many exciting aspects to our festival schedule that we are thrilled to share with you over the next couple of weeks. Our lineup features two centerpiece films: THE LIGHT OF THE MOON and CHARGED: THE EDUARDO GARCIA STORY. Both films will be screened on Saturday and Sunday of the Festival, and be followed by a Q&A with cast & crew from the films. Our Opening Night Film, BENDING THE ARC, sponsored by WMC Health Network, will be followed by a discussion with cast & crew of the film as well as medical professionals, to discuss the current state of Global Health. To see the complete list of films in our lineup, please view the GIFF Film Guide HERE.
